2024 Tournaments

**All tournaments for 2024 are confirmed and permits have been received**

Event 1:

June 21st Leech Lake Day 1

June 22nd Leech Lake Day 2


Leech Lake Information:

 

6:15am– Check-in- Boat inspection starts at Horseshoe Bay Lodge.


7:00am blast off. We will start early if everyone is checked in and ready.

Boats will idle in order past last dock on north point and then out of Horsehoe Bay. 

Boats may go on plane once clear of buoys or boat in front has blasted off.


3:00pm return for boats 1-15, 3:15 return for 16-30, 3:30 return for 31-43

Return time is being inside of buoys by your noted time.

Weigh-In will be at Horseshoe Bay

Once you have weighed in please make sure to take your fish outside of Horseshoe Bay and release away from shore.  There may be a decision made by tournament officials to specify where all fish must be released.  We will state this morning of Day 1.


Limit of 5 fish- Largemouth and Smallmouth

·         Leech Lake information:

o   Host site for all activity is Horseshoe Bay Lodge. 

o   They have access that you can launch at for a fee

o   Horseshoe Bay will be off limits for fishing both days.  Point to point is cutoff.

o   Additional boundaries have been set by DNR and are noted in the image below.

o   REMINDER: There will not be a rules meeting on June 19th. Boat draw is included with this email.

o   There is a restaurant and bar at Horseshoe Bay. Please consider buying food or drinks to support them for letting us use their facilities.

o   Weigh-in will be on the north shore west of the restaurant.

o   Payout to take place after Day 2.

Event 2:

August 16th Whitefish Chain

Whitefish Lake Information:

 

Whitefish Boundaries: Cutoff at CTY HWY 15 on Pine river and CTY RD 145 in Hay Creek heading to Upper Hay.

 

We are limited in the amount of spaces we can use at an access. We need to split up between the two Cross Lake Accesses, Trout, and Lower Hay.  

 

6:15am– Check-in- Boat inspection starts at Moonlight Bay


7:00am blast off. We will start early if everyone is checked in and ready.

           We want all boats to line up in Moonlight bay, do not bunch up.

Boats may go on plane once clear of buoys outside of Moonlight Bay.


3:00pm return for boats 1-15, 3:15 return for 16-30, 3:30 return for 31-43

Return time is being just in front of docks at Moonlight and not fishing.

Weigh-In will be at Moonlight Bay

Once you have weighed in please make sure to take your fish outside of the bay and release away from shore.

August 17th Gull Chain

Gull Lake Information:

 

Gull Boundaries: HWY 371 north of Nisswa is cutoff.

 

We are limited in the amount of spaces we can use at an access. We need to split up between Gov Pt access, 371 access, and Gull Narrows access.   

 

6:15am– Check-in- Boat inspection starts at Earnies


7:00am blast off. We will start early if everyone is checked in and ready.

Boats may go on plane once clear of the call boat.


3:00pm return for boats 1-15, 3:15 return for 16-30, 3:30 return for 31-43

Return time is being just in front of docks at Earnies.

Weigh-In will be at Earnies. Please use beech first for parking so we don’t take up all the spaces Earnie’s has for customers.

Once you have weighed in please make sure to take your fish and release away from shore.
